Crochet Next Steps – Flowers in the Round – Saturday 22nd June 2024 (10-1pm) York

This crochet class is a great introduction to crocheting in the round for making floral motifs. It’s for those who already have a grasp of some basic crochet stitches and want to elevate their skills.

Through making flowers, students will conquer the magic ring and learn about standing stiches and invisible slip stitch for seamless finishes to rounds, then try out some more advanced stitches like popcorn and cluster stitch. Afterwards, students will progress onto other flowers with layered petals and crab-stitch edging.

Skills needed before class

These are the things that attendees should be confident in doing before attending the class:

  • Comfortably hold hook and yarn, being able to make consistent chain stitches.
  • Double crochet stitches – Half-treble and treble crochet stitches.

Classes are individually priced & include the tools to use in class and all materials, unless otherwise indicated.

Each participant also receives a 10% off voucher to spend online or to put towards a future workshop.

Access notice: there are two flights of stairs to the workroom in our medieval building at 32 Coppergate, York YO1 9NR. We sincerely apologise if this prevents anyone attending.
