In this Brioche knitting workshop, tutor Judith Schur introduces you to one and two colour Brioche knitting. Signed copies of Judith’s book, Brioche, will be available in class.

Brioche knitting creates an amazing, textured, reversible fabric which is absolutely ideal for scarves, cowls, shawls etc. Introducing a second colour adds another dimension to the work and interesting effects can be created simply by choosing the colours with careful thought or by switching between brioche knit and brioche purl stitch.

Level: you will need to be an adventurous OR confident and experienced knitter to tackle this technique, but it is well worth the effort when you see the results that can be achieved.

NB Equipment needed
Circular needles or dpn’s (you may find that you need to experiment with different sized needles so try to bring a selection if you can from 3mm to 5mm)
