Discover the art of Lino printing in this full-day workshop. Create a festive design (or any other season or subject you fancy), carve a Lino cut, then print it on fabric. Add embroidery for a personal touch and leave with a stunning textile masterpiece to keep or to gift. All levels welcome!

Start by creating a design based on a photograph, your imagination or be inspired by our textile artist tutor, Wendy Gray. Then create a Lino cut based on your design. You will use this for printing.

Experiment printing on paper first then when you have a design you are happy with, Wendy will show you how to print your design onto fabric. If you wish, you can use colourful embroidery stitches to highlight your final piece. The end result will be a gorgeous piece of textile art you can be proud of. It will look great in a frame or integrated into a cushion cover.

Wendy will show you some key creative stitches to add colour and personality to your art work. If you have never stitched before, don’t worry – she is a patient, qualified teacher. If you already know some embroidery techniques, you will find slow stitching in good company mindfully relaxing.

The workshop includes everything you need and no previous printing or stitching experience is required.
